La Carreta Louisiana tasked our team at Anntoine Marketing + Design to overhaul their branding, print collateral, and marketing by focusing on the “Fresh. Fun. Festive” feeling its restaurants offer the community. Exuding a tropical, exotic atmosphere, La Carreta is the perfect place to wind down with friends, sample internationally-inspired Mexican cuisine, and sip on margaritas for the perfect stay-cation.

Logo Phase

A key element of marketing is a logo that presents itself as the identity of the brand. No matter where you happen to be in Southeastern Louisiana, a La Carreta location is likely nearby. In each location, you’ll experience a fun, vibrant atmosphere with Mexican cuisine, handcrafted margaritas, live music and much more! Embracing the restaurant and all the uniqueness of Louisiana’s character, La Carreta’s logo needed to represent a fun atmosphere and place where you can hang out after being a tourist in your own city. 

Our goal was to create a unique feeling of “vacation” while not straying too far away from the original logo. Making the color scheme pop, our design team incorporated traditional Mayan elements of design, cart wheels (translated from “la carreta”), lime wedges, and margaritas while keeping the core message, Fresh. Fun. Festive. in mind.

Branding Fiesta

Branding extended to Gift Card design, Christmas seasonal designs and additional projects that are still in development with the Head Office in Hammond, Louisiana. We also integrated the 2019 LSU® Tiger Football season with a campaign labeled “Tigers. Tequila. Tailgate.” — complete with carry-out bags and t-shirts with custom football art that doubles as tacos, a fun play on words, and drawing up sports plays.

While the final logo was being designed by our team, social media campaigns began just in time for Cinco de Mayo. So, we kicked off the fun with a fiesta the entire family could enjoy and introduced pieces of the logo we knew customers would love. Social media posts featured chips, salsa, margaritas and an exciting countdown to the party. On May 5, 2019, the Cinco De Mayo fiesta featured a unique day of fun, food, and parties specific to each location! We like to say it was Christmas at La Carreta.

THE THREE T’s-- Tacos, Tequila, Tailgate


Shortly after Cinco de Mayo, La Carreta Louisiana’s social media pages were revitalized with a FRESH logo and exciting campaigns to showcase the new look. Tacos. Tequila. Tailgate. celebrated LSU® game days and provided an opportunity for Louisiana’s to what they love--  drink, eat and cheer on the Tigers! 

Featured new menu items include a twist on classics, such as Mikes’ Margarita and Tiger Tacos. All foodie football fans fell in love with Saturdays even more than they thought they could! We thought...who would say no to discounted tacos? So fans got that PLUS a FREE small tortilla soup with the purchase of one margarita & two tacos. As a proud partner of LSU® Athletics, La Carreta Louisiana wanted to bring the social media campaign full circle with LSU®-inspired deli paper, a banner in Death Valley®, and more!


La Carreta’s atmosphere is fresh, fun and festive — which is just another reason to capture it on video and share it with the world! YouTube isn’t the only place to share video content; Here are a few clips posted on Facebook & Instagram featuring some of La Carreta’s most popular menu items: tacos, guacamole, fajitas, happy hour margs and more!


Our goal was to create a website that allows you to experience La Carreta's vibrant atmosphere before you even step foot in the restaurant. The first taste of fun is displayed through the home page video featuring family fun, music events, margaritas with friends, and the fresh food presented. These inviting scenes are sure to capture a customer's attention. As a user scrolls through the entire website they will find bright colors, patterns and vibrant, high-quality photography showcasing La Carreta's delicious, fresh food. Navigation of the site is smooth, making it easy to find a location and browse their menu.
